View latest information about the Deep Creek Reserve project on Cardinia Shire Council’s website.

The CEC is proud to partner with Cardinia Shire Council and the Pakenham and District Golf Club to develop Deep Creek Reserve – 43 hectares of “greenfield” land and the existing Pakenham golf course.

The CEC will provide eco education and a teaching and community indigenous nursery to the partnership.

Deep Creek has been more than 7 years in planning with Cardinia Shire Council and the Pakenham and District Golf Club. Construction is now under way. The ambitious project is designed to not only cater for golfers of all abilities but will enable environmental education and experiences for students and people of all ages.  When complete Deep Creek Reserve will comprise an Eco-education Centre including the CEC’s training facilities for students from primary schools and upwards.

A fully equipped teaching and community indigenous nursery will also be run by the CEC.

The Reserve will have an all abilities playground complete with a Changing Places toilet and demonstration wetlands for students to learn about aquatic creatures and plants.

Eventually there will be fully developed wetlands as well as an indigenous seed orchard, and a kick about area for local people.

Throughout this wonderful site of 43 hectares there will be a network of walking and bicycle paths.
