GRREAT Big Planting Day Success

On Sunday the 10th of August over 40 Volunteers helped plant much needed Bandicoot habitat with the Garfield Rec Reserve Enviro Action Team.

An incredible 750 grasses and shrubs were planted to connect the corridors of habitat for the Endangered Southern Brown Bandicoot, this project will continue so keep you eyes open for more planting days.

Cardinia Shires Environmental Education Officer was also on hand to talk to residents about Gardens for Wildlife and the importance of habitat plantings.

There was also time for socialising over morning tea and lunch supplied by Brewsters Food Store and Cafe
