Groups in our community
Our partnerships are valuable for achieving our environmental aims and in turn we hope we add value to our partners.
The CEC is strongly supported by Cardinia Shire with whom we have a Memorandum of Agreement in respect of the Deep Creek Project and the Periurban Weed Management project.
We are also proud to partner with Pakenham and District Golf Club on the Deep Creek Project.
CEC is affiliated with Ecolinc Bacchus Marsh to work on environmental education for primary children locally. We are currently working on a Consortium Agreement with both Ecolinc and Cardinia Shire Council.
The Port Phillip and Westernport CMA is also in the process of working on a Partnership Agreement with the CEC.
The CEC supports Cardinia Shire Council initiatives such as Gardens for Wildlife and Mynah Bird Control programs. We work in collaboration with the Shire and local Landcare and Friends Groups on projects such as the current Cannibal Creek project of weed and feral animal control.
The CEC couldn’t do the work it does without our wonderful volunteers.
They help out at the CEC nursery, with public land management and assist in the office.
We thank them and deeply appreciate their commitment and goodwill.

CEC members recognise the value of networking across the region to further their message. Celebrations such as the Cardinia Women In Conservation dinner, to celebrate International Womens’ Day, enables conservationists from across the region to come together.
We help members stay informed and learn from others. We also support Members’ projects. Projects such as Friends of Kurth Kiln Heritage Festival, the Cannibal Creek project involving three member groups and the ambitious Healesville to Phillip Island Nature Link (HPNL) planning by the Western Port Landcare Group.
The CEC Committee is open to ideas on how best to work with our members to achieve the environment outcomes we both desire. Don’t hesitate to email email@example.com

Partners and sponsors
The CEC is very proud to be sponsored by major donor The Andrews Foundation for the CEC Nursery project at Deep Creek.
In 2018 we were delighted with sponsorship from Toyota Pakenham and Berwick for the Cardinia Women in Conservation celebration and their attendance on the evening! Toyota has purchased plants from our nursery for the schools planting they undertake with Planet Ark.
Thank you also to Pakenham Rotary, Inner Wheel and Bunnings in Pakenham for their much appreciated donations.
The CEC invites donations from people who care about the future of our wonderful Australian environment and in particular the Cardinia environment in which we live.
The Andrews Foundation Challenge
Pictured is Chairman of the Andrews Foundation Noel Martin congratulating President of the CEC Elizabeth Fraser on entering in to the Challenge to raise $200,000 from the local Community to match the generous donation of $200,000 granted by the Foundation. This money is to build a fully equipped educational and community indigenous nursery on the Deep Creek site. As well as providing indigenous plants for native animals (and birds, bees and insects), the nursery will provide a learning experience for children throughout the Region and a wonderful volunteer experience for the community.
Huge thanks to Toomuc Landcare Group for kick starting the Rising to the Challenge by a $10,000 donation to this project.
