The time has come to warmly invite you to the 11th Biodiversity Across the Borders Conference, themed: Biodiversity in the Balance: Conservation in a Changing World
This dynamic one-day conference brings together natural resource managers, researchers, practitioners, and all those passionate about environmental stewardship. It provides a vibrant platform to share cutting-edge ecological research and explore practical solutions for conserving biodiversity in an era of rapid global change.
The conference is jointly hosted by Federation University Australia, La Trobe University, Deakin University, RMIT University, Charles Sturt University and The University of Melbourne, together with valued research partners.

We are honoured to welcome Professor Martine Maron from The University of Queensland as our keynote speaker, on the topic Trends in conservation: innovation or diversion? Professor Maron is internationally recognised for her leadership in biodiversity conservation science and policy.
Our program also features two outstanding plenary speakers:
- Professor Philip Zylstra, (Curtin University) will deliver a plenary on Ecological controls on fire in a heated landscape
- Professor Lauren Rickards, (La Trobe University) who will present a plenary on Conservation in a Climate Change World: vital importance, challenges, opportunities
